CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – In an effort to help North Carolinians better understand the new health care reform law, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (BCBSNC) today launched the first phase of an informational website dedicated to the topic. The new site – nchealthreform.com – distills the complicated new law into easily understandable language, answers common questions, provides an interactive timeline and more.
“We’ve created nchealthreform.com to help North Carolinians understand the impact of health care reform, and what it means for them,” said Brad Wilson, BCBSNC president and chief executive officer. “At Blue Cross, we’re committed to making the new law work for North Carolina. We’re rolling up our sleeves and working hard to understand what health care reform means for all North Carolinians – those who are Blue Cross customers and those who are not.”
Currently, the site includes general information about how health care reform will affect all North Carolinians, as well as additional information for small and large business. The health reform law will be phased in over several years and the website will be regularly updated to reflect new milestones. The site will soon expand to include information for others such as individuals, older adults, health care providers and more.
