DURHAM, N.C. – Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC) has been named to the 2024 list of America’s Best Employers for Diversity by Forbes Magazine for the sixth year in a row.
The companies on the “Best Employers for Diversity” list are chosen based on a survey of employees where employers were ranked on criteria such as age, gender, ethnicity, disability and sexual orientation equality, as well as that of general diversity. The final list ranks the 500 employers that not only received the most recommendations, but also boast the most diverse boards and executive ranks and the most proactive diversity and inclusion initiatives.
The Forbes accolade is the latest recognition as a top employer for its work environment and diverse culture at Blue Cross NC. Earlier this year, the company was named to America’s Best Large Employers list.
