Blue Cross NC is named #15 on the 2022 Forbes Best Employers for Diversity list. This is the fourth year in a row the company has been recognized on the list, ranking 23 spots higher than the its 2021 ranking and 301 spots higher than its 2019 ranking.

The companies on the “Best Employers for Diversity” list are chosen based on a survey of employees where employers were ranked on criteria such as age, gender, ethnicity, disability and sexual orientation equality, as well as that of general diversity. The final list ranks the 500 employers that not only received the most recommendations, but also boast the most diverse boards and executive ranks and the most proactive diversity and inclusion initiatives. 

Diversity is a priority for Blue Cross NC in every aspect of business, from the workplace, to vendors, to the communities and members across North Carolina. Blue Cross has built diversity, equity and inclusion into recruitment and hiring, increased insurance agent diversity, and is addressing disparities in health care across the state.
