What happens when youth age out of foster care? New options for Randolph County social services sparks hope

North Carolina has over 16,000 children and young people currently in foster care, with hundreds aging out of the system every year. In September 2021, there were 219 children in Randolph County's foster care program. A partnership between two companies could help those youth as they transition into society. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina partnered with Open Table, a nonprofit organization that helps transform communities by creating access to social capital for people with complex needs.
