Dr. Nora Dennis, lead medical director of behavioral health and health equity, was recently featured on WHKY-FM’s live morning show, “First Talk with Hal Row.” Joined by Behavioral Health RFP recipient Catawba Valley Healthcare, Dennis shared more about the current behavioral health needs in North Carolina, Blue Cross NC’s RFP initiative to invest in strategies that will improve access to behavioral health and the impact these investments will have across the state.   

Blue Cross NC’s Behavioral Health RFP is part of the company’s statewide commitment aimed at addressing and eliminating racial, health, and geographical disparities in North Carolina and supports the company’s goal to improve access to behavioral health care in rural and underserved communities by 25% in five years.
