Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina Takes Steps to Ensure Access to Medication in Guilford and Rockingham Counties Affected by Tornado

DURHAM, N.C. – Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC) is taking steps to ensure customers’ health care needs are uninterrupted by the recent storms in Guilford and Rockingham counties. The company is allowing members in the affected areas to get an early prescription drug refill or replace a lost or destroyed prescription.

“It’s important that we make things easier for our customers who are dealing with the aftermath of something so unexpected. These changes will help ensure our customers continue to get access to the medications they need without interruption,” said Blue Cross NC President and CEO Dr. Patrick Conway.

Members in the affected areas should call the customer service number on the back of their member card for more information.
