FLETCHER, N.C. – Park Ridge Hospital and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (BCBSNC) announced today that they have entered into a multi-year agreement. This agreement means that Park Ridge Hospital and Park Ridge Medical Associates will remain in-network providers for BCBSNC members, ensuring stable access to outstanding health care for the area residents who have BCBSNC insurance coverage.
“We are pleased to work with BCBSNC to ensure adults and children throughout the community have access to the services offered at Park Ridge Hospital and through Park Ridge Medical Associates,” explains Jimm Bunch, Park Ridge Hospital president & CEO. “For decades, Park Ridge Hospital has upheld our Christian Mission of providing outstanding and compassionate care to those who seek our services. We recognize that the residents of this region rely on us to assist with health care for themselves and their families. Together, Park Ridge Hospital and BCBSNC have entered into this long-term agreement to help protect our community’s ability to access our services."
The agreement is effective immediately. The contract agreement means that BCBSNC members in all of the company’s benefit plans may continue to use Park Ridge Hospital and Park Ridge Medical Associates as “in-network” providers for covered services, with full member benefits and conveniences afforded by their individual plans.
“Choice is important in health care, and this agreement allows our members to have a wide choice of doctors and hospitals in Henderson County and surrounding communities,” said Milo Brunick, BCBSNC vice president of Network Management. “We appreciate the willingness of the leadership of Park Ridge to negotiate in good faith toward this reasonable agreement. It’s important to us that our members have access to the medical care Park Ridge Hospital and its physicians provide.”
